Hailing from the steep, south-southwest-facing slopes of the Rosenberg ('Rose Mountain') vineyard in Kinheim, this wine is deeply rooted in the region's ancient slate soils. The Loosen estate, with over two centuries of family history, utilizes traditional methods to express this unique terroir. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in traditional 1,000-liter oak Fuder casks and aged on the lees, this 100% Riesling showcases a brilliant tension between vibrant, crystalline acidity and a profound, smoky grey slate minerality, accented by delicate orchard fruit and herbal notes.
