Crafted by the legendary Ernst Loosen, this rare nectar originates from the iconic Wehlener Sonnenuhr (the 'Sundial of Wehlen') vineyard in the Mosel valley. The steep, south-facing slope of pure blue Devonian slate yields Riesling of unmatched elegance. The vineyard is named after the historic sundial erected in 1842 by Jodocus Prüm. To produce this Trockenbeerenauslese, individual berries shriveled by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) are meticulously hand-harvested late in the autumn. The resulting wine is an incredibly concentrated, viscous elixir where intense honeyed sweetness is balanced by the Mosel's trademark electric acidity, offering complex notes of dried apricot, saffron, and wild honey.
