The HD line represents the personal vision of winemaker Hector Durigutti, crafted as a tribute to his family's deep roots in Argentine viticulture. Sourced from prized, low-yielding old vines in the high-altitude terroir of Paraje Altamira within the Uco Valley, this Gran Reserva Malbec showcases the dramatic influence of Mendoza's mountain landscape. The vines, planted in soils rich in calcium carbonate and gravel, yield small, concentrated berries. Hector employs traditional, low-intervention winemaking techniques, including fermentation with native yeasts and aging in French oak foudres and barrels. This process preserves the intense floral aromas, dark fruit character, and distinctive chalky minerality that define Altamira's unique terroir, resulting in a wine of exceptional depth, structure, and elegance.

Founded in 2002 by brothers and winemakers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, Durigutti Family Winemakers is rooted in the historic terroir of Las Compuertas in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention and deep respect for agricultural heritage, the estate crafts terroir-driven wines using native yeasts, gentle extraction, and maturation vessels such as concrete eggs.
