E. Guigal's prestige Red Assortment Cases are highly coveted collector's items, typically showcasing the pinnacle of the Northern Rhône: the legendary single-vineyard Côte-Rôtie wines known affectionately as the 'La Las'—La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne. Originating from the steep, terraced schist and granite slopes of Ampuis, these wines represent a revolution in Rhône winemaking pioneered by Marcel Guigal. La Mouline (Côte Blonde) is known for its floral elegance and touch of Viognier; La Turque (Côte Brune) offers a powerful, structured bridge between styles; and La Landonne (Côte Brune) is a pure, muscular Syrah of immense depth. Aged for up to 42 months in custom-coopered new French oak barrels, these wines are celebrated for their extraordinary complexity, seamless integration, and legendary longevity, embodying the rich history of a region cultivated since Roman times.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in the ancient village of Ampuis, Domaine E. Guigal has become one of the Rhône Valley's most illustrious and influential wine estates. Now managed by Marcel and Philippe Guigal, the family is headquartered at the historic Château d'Ampuis, where they craft legendary wines that define the northern and southern Rhône. The estate is globally renowned for its iconic Côte-Rôtie single-vineyard bottlings—La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne—as well as the opulent Condrieu La Doriane. Their uncompromising production philosophy emphasizes extremely long barrel aging in their custom, in-house cooperage, resulting in wines of extraordinary depth, structure, and longevity.
