✨ wine.spec_sheet

Crafted as an exclusive collaboration between the legendary Rhône Valley producer E. Guigal and the prominent Danish wine merchant Philipson Wine, the Cuvée Philipson is a specially selected blend that showcases the Guigal family's masterly blending prowess. Sourced from high-quality vineyards in the Southern Rhône, this cuvée typically features a dominant portion of Syrah, rounded out with Grenache and Mourvèdre. It is vinified and aged in the ancient cellars of Château d'Ampuis in traditional oak foudres. This partnership blend captures the sun-drenched richness of the south while maintaining the structured, peppery elegance and Northern-style precision for which Guigal is globally renowned.

Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in the ancient village of Ampuis, Domaine E. Guigal has become one of the Rhône Valley's most illustrious and influential wine estates. Now managed by Marcel and Philippe Guigal, the family is headquartered at the historic Château d'Ampuis, where they craft legendary wines that define the northern and southern Rhône. The estate is globally renowned for its iconic Côte-Rôtie single-vineyard bottlings—La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne—as well as the opulent Condrieu La Doriane. Their uncompromising production philosophy emphasizes extremely long barrel aging in their custom, in-house cooperage, resulting in wines of extraordinary depth, structure, and longevity.
