✨ wine.spec_sheet

E. Guigal's Côtes du Rhône Rosé is a classic expression of the Southern Rhône's sun-drenched terroir. Sourced from vineyards rich in sediment, granite, limestone, and alluvial pebbles, this wine is crafted using a combination of direct pressing and the traditional saignée (bleeding) method. The Guigal family applies the same rigorous standards to this refreshing rosé as they do to their legendary crus, fermenting at controlled low temperatures and aging entirely in stainless steel to preserve the vibrant, primary fruit characters. This wine pays homage to the ancient Roman history of the region, where light-colored, refreshing wines were highly prized along the banks of the Rhône River.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in the ancient village of Ampuis, Domaine E. Guigal has become one of the Rhône Valley's most illustrious and influential wine estates. Now managed by Marcel and Philippe Guigal, the family is headquartered at the historic Château d'Ampuis, where they craft legendary wines that define the northern and southern Rhône. The estate is globally renowned for its iconic Côte-Rôtie single-vineyard bottlings—La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne—as well as the opulent Condrieu La Doriane. Their uncompromising production philosophy emphasizes extremely long barrel aging in their custom, in-house cooperage, resulting in wines of extraordinary depth, structure, and longevity.
