Château Belá Riesling represents an extraordinary collaboration between the legendary Mosel winemaker Egon Müller and Slovakian viticultural pioneer Miroslav Petrech. Situated in the southern Slovakian village of Belá near the Danube River, the historic Baroque estate of Château Belá has a winemaking heritage dating back to Roman times. Müller was drawn to this unique terroir, where warm, sunny days are tempered by cool river breezes, and the clay-loam soils are rich in limestone. Unlike the off-dry, low-alcohol Mosel giants, this Riesling is vinified in a dry, powerful style. Established in 1797 when the Müller family acquired the historic estate, Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof is located in Wiltingen within the Saar sub-region of the Mosel, Germany.
