The estate of Le Gallais in Wiltingen was acquired by the Egon Müller family in 1954, preserving a winemaking legacy that dates back centuries. The Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard, situated on a steep, south-facing slope along a loop of the Saar River, is characterized by its unique iron-rich red slate soils, which impart a distinctively spicy, earthy minerality to the wines. This rare 'Versteigerung' (Auction) bottling represents the absolute pinnacle of the estate's production. Crafted from 100% Riesling grapes meticulously selected for noble rot (botrytis), it is designated with a Goldkapsel (Gold Capsule) to signify its extraordinary concentration and quality.
