The Le Gallais estate, acquired by the legendary Egon Müller family in 1954, is synonymous with the Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard. Situated on a steep, south-facing bend of the Saar River, this historic site is characterized by its unique, iron-rich reddish-brown Devonian slate soils, which contrast sharply with the grey slate of the nearby Scharzhofberg. This terroir imparts a distinctively opulent, spicy, and exotic character to the Riesling. Crafted only in favorable vintages, the Auslese is made from meticulously hand-selected, botrytis-affected grapes.
