Egon Müller is synonymous with Saar Riesling royalty, but while the famous Scharzhofberg vineyard gets global headlines, the Wiltinger Braune Kupp—acquired through the purchase of the Le Gallais estate in 1954—holds a legendary status of its own. Situated on a steep, south-facing amphitheater of iron-rich, reddish-brown slate along the Saar river, this vineyard yields a warmer, more opulent style of Riesling. The Auslese Goldkapsel represents the absolute pinnacle of selection, crafted only in exceptional years from grapes heavily touched by noble rot. Hand-harvested with obsessive precision and fermented in traditional old oak Fuder casks, this rare sweet wine weaves a tapestry of intense wild honey, dried apricots, and crushed slate mineral tension, balanced by the Saar's trademark electric acidity.

Established in 1797 when the Müller family acquired the historic estate, Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof is located in Wiltingen within the Saar sub-region of the Mosel, Germany.
