The Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard has been historically linked with the Le Gallais estate since the 19th century, eventually coming under the stewardship of the legendary Egon Müller family in 1954. Unlike the grey slate of the nearby Scharzhofberg, the Braune Kupp ('brown hill') is characterized by iron-rich red slate and clay, which imparts a distinctly opulent, exotic fruit character and a spicy mineral undertone to the Riesling. The Auslese Goldkapsel represents an extraordinary selection of botrytized grapes, meticulously hand-harvested berry by berry.
