The estate of Egon Müller, situated at the Scharzhof base in the Saar valley of the Mosel region, is synonymous with the world's finest Rieslings. The Scharzhofberg vineyard itself is a legend, boasting deep Devonian slate soils and a cool microclimate that yields wines of unmatched tension and longevity. Originally cultivated by Benedictine monks in the medieval era, the estate was acquired by the Müller family in 1797. The Auslese Goldkapsel (Gold Cap) represents an extraordinary selection of botrytized grapes, harvested by hand with painstaking precision. Fermented in traditional large oak casks (fuders) with native yeasts, this rare auction bottling balances opulent, honeyed sweetness with a vibrant, electric spine of acidity, creating a sublime sensory experience that is both ethereal and profoundly complex.

Historien bag Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof strækker sig tilbage til 1797, hvor Jean-Jacques Koch erhvervede den historiske ejendom i Wiltingen, beliggende i Saar-dalen i Tysklands berømte Mosel-region. Vingården er gået i arv gennem generationer og har i dag opnået verdensry under ledelse af Egon Müller IV.
