The estate of Egon Müller is the undisputed royalty of the Saar valley, with a winemaking heritage at the Scharzhof site tracing back to the Benedictine monks of St. Paul in Trier in the late 18th century. The Scharzhofberg is a legendary, entirely south-facing steep slope of weathered grey slate that yields Riesling of unparalleled precision, mineral intensity, and longevity.
