Sourced from the legendary, south-facing Scharzhofberg vineyard in the Saar valley—a site cultivated since monastic times by the Abbey of St. Paulin in Trier—this wine is crafted from 100% Riesling grapes. These grapes are meticulously hand-selected, berry by shriveled berry, only when fully affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). The 'Auktion' bottling is a highly restricted, ultra-rare selection sold exclusively at the annual VDP auction in Trier.
