Hailing from the historic Le Gallais estate, which has been under the stewardship of the legendary Egon Müller family since 1954, this exceptional Riesling is sourced entirely from the steep, south-southwest-facing slopes of the Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard. Named for its distinctive iron-rich, reddish-brown slate soils, this site yields wines of incredible power, mineral depth, and structure. The 'Auktion' designation signifies that this particular bottling is a rare, ultra-selective cask reserved exclusively for the prestigious annual VDP auction in Trier, representing the absolute pinnacle of the vintage's Spätlese production. Vinified traditionally in old oak Fuder casks using indigenous yeasts, this 100% Riesling captures the signature Saar tension—a breathtaking dance of luscious residual sweetness balanced by a laser-like, electric acidity.

Historien bag Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof strækker sig tilbage til 1797, hvor Jean-Jacques Koch erhvervede den historiske ejendom i Wiltingen, beliggende i Saar-dalen i Tysklands berømte Mosel-region.
