The estate of Egon Müller is synonymous with the absolute pinnacle of Mosel Riesling, and the Wiltinger Braune Kupp Auslese Goldkapsel Auktion is one of its rarest jewels. Originating from the historic Le Gallais estate, which the Müller family has managed since 1954, the Braune Kupp vineyard is a steep, south-facing amphitheater hugging the Saar River. Unlike the gray slate of Scharzhofberg, the 'brown hillock' of Braune Kupp is rich in iron-bearing red slate, imparting a distinctively opulent, spicy, and exotic character to the wine. Crafted only in exceptional vintages from meticulously hand-selected, botrytized grapes, the 'Goldkapsel' designation denotes a reserve bottling of extraordinary concentration. Historien bag Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof strækker sig tilbage til 1797, hvor Jean-Jacques Koch erhvervede den historiske ejendom i Wiltingen, beliggende i Saar-dalen i Tysklands berømte Mosel-region. Vingården er gået i arv gennem generationer og har i dag opnået verdensry under ledelse af Egon Müller IV.
