✨ Technical Specifications
The 'Novas' range by Emiliana is named in honor of the ancient astronomers who observed the night sky for 'nova' stars—symbols of new beginnings and cosmic alignment. This connection to the cosmos perfectly mirrors Emiliana's biodynamic philosophy, where vineyard practices are guided by natural cycles. Sourced from the cool-climate Casablanca Valley within the greater Aconcagua region, this Chardonnay benefits from morning fogs and cooling Pacific breezes. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented using a combination of stainless steel tanks to preserve bright, fresh fruit notes, and French oak barrels to introduce subtle complexity, creamy texture, and elegant structure.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1986 by the Guilisasti family, Emiliana has grown to become the world's leading producer of organic and biodynamic wines. In the late 1990s, visionary director Rafael Guilisasti partnered with renowned consulting winemaker Álvaro Espinoza to pioneer ecological viticulture across Chile's most prestigious wine regions, including the Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua, and Cachapoal Valleys. Guided by Demeter-certified biodynamic farming principles, Emiliana eliminates synthetic inputs in favor of natural preparations and native biodiversity to authentically reflect terroir. The estate is widely celebrated for its flagship biodynamic red blends, notably Coyam and Gê, as well as expressive single-vineyard expressions of Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
