Named in honor of the visionary founder Don Maximiano Errázuriz, the Max Reserva Chardonnay showcases the cool-climate potential of Chile's Aconcagua Costa. Grown in vineyards situated just kilometers from the cold Pacific Ocean, the vines benefit from morning mists and cooling sea breezes that slow ripening and preserve natural acidity. The soils, rich in metamorphic slate and clay, impart a distinct mineral edge to the wine. In the cellar, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented primarily in French oak barrels, with a portion in stainless steel to maintain fresh fruit purity. Periodic lees stirring adds a creamy texture and complex notes of toasted brioche and hazelnut, beautifully balancing the wine's bright citrus and tropical fruit core.
