The Aluvional series by Familia Zuccardi is a liquid map of the Uco Valley's complex alluvial terroirs. Conceived by Sebastián Zuccardi, this range of wines is born from the realization that the Andes Mountains are not just a backdrop, but the very creator of the soils. Over millennia, glacial meltwater and mountain torrents washed down stones, gravel, and calcium carbonate, depositing them in fan-shaped alluvial beds. Each bottling in the Aluvional selection highlights a specific village or paraje—such as Gualtallary, Paraje Altamira, or San Pablo—to showcase how these stony, calcareous soils imprint a distinct mineral tension, chalky texture, and vibrant acidity onto the Malbec grape. To keep the focus entirely on the terroir, the wine is fermented in concrete vessels using native yeasts and aged in uncharred foudres and concrete, eschewing the heavy makeup of new oak. It is a profound tribute to the rugged beauty and geological history of high-altitude Mendoza.

Founded in 1963 by Alberto Zuccardi in Mendoza, Argentina, Familia Zuccardi has evolved into one of the country's most visionary and prestigious family-owned wine dynasties.
