Finca Los Membrillos is a single-vineyard masterpiece located in Vista Flores, Tunuyán, within the Uco Valley at an elevation of 1,060 meters. Named after the historic quince trees (membrillos) that border the estate, this wine showcases Sebastián Zuccardi's conviction that Mendoza's high-altitude terroirs can yield world-class Cabernet Sauvignon of profound elegance, challenging the regional dominance of Malbec. The vineyard's alluvial soils are characterized by gravels heavily coated with calcium carbonate. To preserve the purity of this terroir, the wine is fermented in concrete vessels with native yeasts and aged in large oak foudres, resulting in a highly structured, mineral-driven profile with notes of black currant, graphite, and fresh herbs.
