The Polígonos series by Familia Zuccardi is a liquid map of the Uco Valley, designed to express the diverse micro-terroirs of its distinct villages. The Cabernet Franc, hailing from the high-altitude, cool-climate sub-appellation of San Pablo, showcases a stark departure from traditional, heavily oaked South American reds. Sebastián Zuccardi crafts this wine using concrete vessels for fermentation and aging, completely avoiding oak to prevent any masking of the grape's pure, mineral-driven identity. The name 'Polígonos' refers to the geometric borders used by soil scientists to map the complex alluvial soils of the region. This wine captures the wild, untamed spirit of the Andes, defined by intense solar radiation, cold mountain nights, and calcareous soils that impart a chalky texture and vibrant acidity.
