The Polígonos series from Familia Zuccardi is a liquid map of the Uco Valley, designed to showcase the diverse micro-terroirs of Mendoza through the lens of specific villages. The San Pablo Malbec originates from one of the highest, coldest, and wettest sub-appellations in the region, nestled at the foot of the Andes at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters. This extreme mountain climate, combined with soils rich in calcium carbonate, yields a Malbec of remarkable tension and freshness. To honor this unique terroir, winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi ferment and ages the wine entirely in concrete vessels, eschewing oak to prevent any masking of the vineyard's natural voice. The result is a highly expressive, mineral-driven red characterized by vibrant red fruit, wild mountain herbs, and a distinctively chalky, textured finish.
