Crafted only in exceptional vintages, the Hommage à Jacques Perrin is a monumental tribute to the visionary patriarch of Château de Beaucastel. Jacques Perrin was a pioneer who championed the difficult-to-grow Mourvèdre grape and organic viticulture long before they were fashionable. Sourced from the estate's oldest vines rooted in the iconic 'galets roulés' (heat-retaining rolled pebbles) over clay-limestone soils, this cuvée is celebrated for its intense concentration, structure, and soul. Unlike typical Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines which are Grenache-dominant, this masterpiece is defined by its unusually high proportion of ancient Mourvèdre. The wine undergoes traditional vinification in oak foudres, resulting in a legendary nectar of profound depth, complexity, and historical reverence.

Established in the southern Rhône Valley and closely tied to the legendary Château de Beaucastel since 1909, Famille Perrin is one of France's most respected winemaking dynasties. Under the visionary guidance of Jacques Perrin and subsequent generations, the family pioneered organic viticulture in 1950 and biodynamic farming in 1974. Based in Courthézon, they are celebrated for their masterful blending of all thirteen permitted Châteauneuf-du-Pape grape varieties, aging their wines in traditional large oak foudres to preserve purity and terroir. Their world-class portfolio ranges from the iconic, Mourvèdre-dominant Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin to expressive regional selections like Les Sinards and La Gille.
