Firriato's Chiaramonte Inzolia is a luminous expression of one of Sicily's oldest indigenous white grape varieties, cultivated in the clay-loam soils of the estate's Trapani vineyards. The wine's name pays homage to the historic Chiaramonte dynasty, a noble family whose grand castles and architectural legacy still define the Sicilian landscape. Crafted to capture the sun-drenched maritime essence of the island, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve their delicate aromatics. Brief aging on the fine lees imparts a subtle texture, balancing the wine's bright Mediterranean acidity with a characteristic savory, saline finish.

Firriato blev grundlagt i 1984 af Salvatore Di Gaetano og hans hustru Vinizia Novara og regnes i dag blandt Siciliens førende vinproducenter med stor anerkendelse for deres rolle i øens vinøse renæssance. Vingården råder over bemærkelsesværdigt varierede terroirs på tværs af Sicilien – fra Trapani-landskabets solbeskinnede vinmarker og øen Favignanas maritime klima til Etnas højtbeliggende, vulkanske skråninger. Firriato er dybt engageret i certificeret økologisk dyrkning og bæredygtighed, og de værner om den autentiske biodiversitet med fokus på oprindelige sicilianske druesorter som Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese og Grillo suppleret med udvalgte internationale sorter.
