Firriato's Harmonium is a masterful expression of Sicily's signature red grape, Nero d'Avola, born from the unique terroir of the Borgo Guarini estate in the Trapani countryside. This landmark wine is the result of a passionate quest to showcase the complexity of the varietal, blending three distinct biotypes of Nero d'Avola—Ferla, Beccaccia, and Lepre—each harvested from dedicated vineyard parcels. The clay-loam soils and Mediterranean climate of Borgo Guarini yield grapes with exceptional concentration and structural balance. Following a meticulous vinification process, the wine is aged in French oak barriques for approximately 10 to 12 months, followed by refinement in the bottle. The result is a deep, velvety red that captures the soul of Sicilian viticulture, marrying intense dark fruit notes with elegant spices and a powerful yet refined structure.

Firriato blev grundlagt i 1984 af Salvatore Di Gaetano og Vinzia Novara og har siden udviklet sig til en af de absolutte hjørnestene i moderne siciliansk vinavl. Vingården råder over flere hundrede hektar fordelt på Siciliens mest markante mikroklimaer og terroirer: fra Trapanis solbeskinnede bakker med kalk- og lerholdige jorde (herunder Baglio Sorìa og Borgo Guarini) over øen Favignanas maritime, kalkholdige sandsten til Cavanera Etneas højtbeliggende, vulkanske sandskråninger på Etna. Markarbejdet er 100 % økologisk certificeret og drives ud fra en banebrydende filosofi om CO2-neutralitet. I kælderen anvendes temperaturstyret gæring på rustfrit stål for at bevare en ren, aromatisk friskhed, spændstig nerve og druernes autentiske karakter, efterfulgt af målrettet lagring på enten ståltanke eller neutrale træfade. Firriatos hvidvine hylder Siciliens oprindelige og historiske druesorter – især Grillo, Catarratto og Zibibbo – hvilket resulterer i referencevine som den salte, kystprægede Favinia La Muciara, den økologiske Caeles-serie, den florale Jasmin samt den strålende, soltørrede Favinia Passule.
