Hailing from the historic Baglio Soria estate in the countryside of Trapani, the Santagostino Baglio Soria Bianco is a masterfully crafted white blend that represents a bridge between Sicilian tradition and international elegance. This wine marries the indigenous Catarratto, celebrated for its vibrant acidity and citrus character, with the international Chardonnay, which lends structure, roundness, and tropical fruit notes. The terroir of Baglio Soria is characterized by clay-calcareous soils and a microclimate heavily influenced by maritime breezes from the nearby Mediterranean Sea, ensuring slow ripening and excellent aromatic complexity. Firriato blev grundlagt i 1984 af Salvatore Di Gaetano og hans hustru Vinizia Novara og regnes i dag blandt Siciliens førende vinproducenter med stor anerkendelse for deres rolle i øens vinøse renæssance.
