✨ wine.spec_sheet
Hailing from the historic estate of Fontanafredda, founded in 1858 by Count Emanuele Alberto di Mirafiori (the son of King Vittorio Emanuele II and his morganatic wife, Bela Rosin), the Vigna Gatinera Blanc de Noirs Pas Dose Riserva represents the pinnacle of Piedmontese sparkling craftsmanship. Crafted exclusively from Pinot Nero grown in the single Gatinera vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba, this Metodo Classico sparkling wine thrives on the region's steep, calcareous-clay soils. The wine undergoes an exceptionally long secondary fermentation in the bottle, resting on its lees for at least 60 to 84 months. Finished as a Pas Dose, or zero dosage, it offers an unadorned, pure expression of its terroir and grape, where the estate's royal heritage is woven into a legacy of patient, long-aged sparkling winemaking.
