The story of Freixenet begins with the union of two historic winemaking families, the Ferrer and Sala families, whose ancestral home 'La Freixeneda'—named after the ash trees growing on their estate—inspired the brand's name. Crafted in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia using the traditional method, this Cava is a classic blend of three indigenous Spanish grape varieties: Macabeo, which brings bright green apple and citrus notes; Xarel·lo, providing structure and robust acidity; and Parellada, imparting delicate floral aromas.
