Crafted under the creative vision of Spanish winemaker Gloria Collell, the Mia range by Freixenet was conceived to capture the youthful, sun-drenched spirit of Barcelona. This Fruity & Full-bodied red is a contemporary expression of Spain's signature Tempranillo grape. Sourced from warm, sun-soaked vineyards across Spain, the grapes undergo a careful temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve their intense primary fruit aromas rather than masking them with heavy oak. The result is an approachable, deeply colored red wine that celebrates the vibrant street life, colorful mosaics, and relaxed dining culture of its Mediterranean inspiration.

With roots reaching back to 1861 and officially established under its famous moniker in 1914, Freixenet was forged by the union of Pedro Ferrer Bosch and Dolores Sala Vivé in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the historic heart of Catalonia's sparkling wine region. Guided by Dolores's pioneering spirit in modern cellar management and traditional-method production, the house quickly evolved from a local family bodega into a benchmark global sparkling wine giant. Emphasizing regional terroir, Freixenet masterfully champions indigenous Catalan grape varieties—Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada—across its portfolio.
