✨ wine.spec_sheet

Born from the historic Castello di Nipozzano estate, which has been in the Frescobaldi family since the 11th century, Mormoreto is a landmark Super Tuscan first created in 1983. The wine takes its name from the Mormoreto vineyard, where the wind murmurs through the vines planted on these high-altitude, clay-rich Tuscan slopes. This single-vineyard red is a powerful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, representing a marriage of French varieties with the unique, sun-drenched terroir of Chianti Rufina. The grapes are meticulously hand-harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and then aged for approximately 24 months in French oak barriques, followed by refinement in the bottle. This process yields a wine of deep complexity, characterized by dark berry fruits, subtle balsamic notes, and refined tannins.
