✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from the historic Castello di Pomino estate in the cool, high-altitude Apennine foothills of Tuscany, Frescobaldi's Vendemmia Tardiva is a late-harvest masterpiece. The estate's winemaking legacy is legendary; in 1716, Grand Duke Cosimo III de' Medici declared Pomino one of Tuscany's four greatest wine regions. This sweet white wine takes advantage of the estate's unique microclimate, where autumn mists and cool breezes encourage the development of noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) on the vines. Typically crafted from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Gewürztraminer, the grapes are hand-harvested late in the season to maximize sugar concentration. After a slow fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barriques, resulting in a luscious, golden nectar defined by aromas of candied citrus, dried apricot, honey, and wildflowers, all balanced by a vibrant, mountain-born acidity.
