G.H. Mumm's Brut Selection represents a refined expression of the house's historic craftsmanship, which dates back to 1827 when the Mumm brothers established their cellars in Reims. This cuvée is celebrated for its gastronomic profile, typically blending a dominant proportion of Pinot Noir—sourced from prestigious Grand and Premier Cru villages such as Verzenay and Bouzy—with Chardonnay for elegance and Pinot Meunier for roundness. Reflecting the house's historic motto, 'Only the Best,' the wine undergoes extended cellar aging on its lees to develop its signature complexity. This patient maturation imparts rich aromas of toasted brioche, ripe yellow fruits, and subtle honeyed undertones, all framed by the chalky minerality characteristic of the Champagne region's ancient limestone soils.
