✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the southern Rhône Valley, the 'Sainte-Catherine' cuvée by Gabriel Meffre is a profound tribute to the region's rich history and exceptional terroir. The wine is named in honor of Saint Catherine, reflecting the deep-seated spiritual and agricultural heritage of the area, where vines have been cultivated since the Avignon Papacy of the 14th century. Crafted primarily from classic southern Rhône varieties grown on soils characterized by the iconic 'galets roulés' (large, heat-retaining rolled pebbles) and sandy clay, this red wine undergoes traditional vinification with careful temperature control. It is aged to develop a harmonious balance of rich dark fruit, wild herbs (garrigue), and refined spices, embodying the power and elegance characteristic of the appellation.
