Grappa Gaia & Rey is a refined Italian spirit produced by the legendary Gaja estate in Piedmont. It is distilled from the pomace of Chardonnay grapes harvested from the historic Gaia & Rey vineyard in Treiso, which was planted in 1979 and named in honor of Angelo Gaja's daughter, Gaia, and his grandmother, Clotilde Rey—the woman credited with instilling the family's uncompromising dedication to quality. Unlike traditional rustic grappas, this elegant distillate captures the aromatic complexity of Chardonnay. The fresh pomace is carefully distilled in copper alembic stills under vacuum to preserve the delicate fruit aromas, followed by aging in small oak casks. This wood maturation imparts a beautiful amber hue, silky texture, and complex notes of honey, vanilla, toasted nuts, and ripe stone fruits, elevating it to a world-class digestif.
