Crafted under the E. & J. Gallo portfolio, Carnivor Zinfandel is designed with a singular, bold vision: to create a wine that perfectly complements the rich, savory flavors of red meat. Sourced from premier vineyards across California's warm valleys—most notably Lodi, a region celebrated for its historic Zinfandel vines and sandy soils—this wine benefits from long, sun-drenched days that fully ripen the grapes. To achieve its signature ink-dark color and velvety texture, winemakers employ a warm fermentation and often blend in a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged on a combination of French and American oak, which infuses the dark fruit profile of blackberry and plum with decadent notes of toasted oak, cocoa, and warm spices, resulting in an opulent, smooth finish.

E. & J. Gallo Winery blev grundlagt i Modesto i 1933 af brødrene Ernest og Julio Gallo umiddelbart efter forbudstidens ophør.
