Domaine du Pourpre is a classic expression of Beaujolais, crafted under the legendary négociant house of Georges Duboeuf, the 'King of Beaujolais' who popularized the region's wines globally. Made entirely from the Gamay grape, this wine hails from vineyards characterized by granite-rich soils that impart a distinct mineral undertone to the bright fruit. The name 'Pourpre' pays homage to the brilliant, deep purple hue of the freshly pressed Gamay juice.
