Georges Duboeuf's Beaujolais Nouveau is the ultimate symbol of the harvest celebration, a wine that single-handedly sparked a global phenomenon. Crafted entirely from the Gamay grape grown in the granite-laced soils of the Beaujolais region in France, this vibrant red wine is produced using carbonic maceration. This specialized winemaking technique ferments whole grapes in a carbon dioxide-rich environment, extracting bright fruit flavors and vivid color while keeping tannins exceptionally low. Historically, Beaujolais Nouveau was a simple local wine celebrating the end of the harvest, but in the late 20th century, Georges Duboeuf famously championed the 'race' to deliver the first bottles to Paris and eventually the world, spawning the famous slogan 'Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!' It is a joyful, fruit-forward wine bursting with aromas of fresh red berries, banana, and bubblegum.

Les Vins Georges Duboeuf har hjemsted i Romanèche-Thorins i det franske Beaujolais og blev grundlagt i 1964 af Georges Duboeuf, der ofte hyldes som 'Kongen af Beaujolais'. Négociant-huset revolutionerede regionens internationale profil ved at slå et slag for domæneaftapninger, opbygge tætte partnerskaber med lokale vinbønder og gøre det årlige Beaujolais Nouveau-fænomen verdensberømt. Huset ledes i dag af Duboeuf-familien og er fortsat dybt engageret i at formidle Gamay-druens mange terroirfacetter på tværs af de ti Beaujolais Crus – herunder Moulin-à-Vent, Morgon og Juliénas – sideløbende med et nøje udvalgt sortiment fra Rhône-dalen og Pays d'Oc.
