Crafted by the visionary winemaker Gérard Bertrand, the 'An' series pays tribute to the rich historical tapestry and ancient heritage of the Languedoc region. This 'An 118' Sauvignon Blanc captures the vibrant, sun-drenched terroir of the South of France, where Mediterranean influences meet cooler clay-limestone soils. To preserve the grape's signature aromatic purity and crispness, the wine undergoes gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats, avoiding oak contact. The result is a beautifully balanced white wine that expresses classic notes of citrus, white peach, and fresh-cut grass, anchored by a refreshing mineral backbone that reflects Bertrand's commitment to showcasing the diverse terroirs of his homeland.

Established in 1992 by former French international rugby player Gérard Bertrand following the legacy of his father Georges at Domaine de Villemajou, the estate has emerged as an undisputed pioneer of fine wine in the Languedoc. Headquartered at the coastal Château l'Hospitalet within the limestone massif of La Clape, Bertrand orchestrates over 900 hectares of vineyard land across premium terroirs spanning Corbières, Minervois-La-Livinière, Terrasses du Larzac, and Limoux. The enterprise represents the world’s largest producer of Demeter-certified biodynamic wines, guided by regenerative viticulture, lunar cycles, and chemical-free soil stewardship.
