✨ wine.spec_sheet

Named in honor of the year 873, which marks the very first written record of winemaking in the Languedoc region, Gerard Bertrand's 'An 873' is a liquid tribute to over a millennium of viticultural heritage. This deeply expressive red wine is crafted from a classic Mediterranean blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, sourced from select clay-limestone vineyards that bask in the warm southern French sun. To capture both structural depth and vibrant fruit character, the winemaking process often combines traditional fermentation with carbonic maceration for a portion of the grapes. The resulting wine beautifully reflects its terroir, weaving together rich black fruit notes with the wild, aromatic herbs of the local garrigue landscape.
