Crafted in the historic terroir of Cabrières in the Languedoc, Gerard Bertrand's Clos du Temple is celebrated as a pinnacle of grand cru rosé. The region's winemaking legacy dates back to Roman times, and its wines were famously favored at the court of King Louis XIV, earning them a royal reputation. This exceptional cuvée is born from a unique terroir of schist and limestone, farmed strictly according to biodynamic principles. The blend typically features Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, complemented by a touch of Viognier. Harvested by hand at the break of dawn to preserve ultimate freshness, the juice undergoes a meticulous vinification process, including fermentation and aging in new French oak barrels. This results in a rosé of unparalleled complexity, showing delicate notes of red fruit, white flowers, mild spices, and a profound mineral tension.

Established in 1992 by former French international rugby player Gérard Bertrand following the legacy of his father Georges at Domaine de Villemajou, the estate has emerged as an undisputed pioneer of fine wine in the Languedoc. Headquartered at the coastal Château l'Hospitalet within the limestone massif of La Clape, Bertrand orchestrates over 900 hectares of vineyard land across premium terroirs spanning Corbières, Minervois-La-Livinière, Terrasses du Larzac, and Limoux.
