Conceived by Gérard Bertrand as a spiritual sanctuary and a tribute to peace and love, Clos d'Ora is a masterpiece of biodynamic viticulture nestled in the rugged terroir of Minervois-La-Livinière in the Languedoc. This exceptional red cuvée is crafted from a meticulously tended blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan, grown on clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is farmed entirely using animal traction—mules and horses—to preserve soil structure and foster a deep connection between the earth and the vine. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with utmost care, followed by patient aging in French oak barrels. The resulting wine is a profound expression of the Mediterranean garrigue, boasting intense dark fruit, complex spices, and velvety, mineral-driven tannins that reflect Bertrand's holistic philosophy of harmony with nature.

Established in 1992 by former French international rugby player Gérard Bertrand following the legacy of his father Georges at Domaine de Villemajou, the estate has emerged as an undisputed pioneer of fine wine in the Languedoc. Headquartered at the coastal Château l'Hospitalet within the limestone massif of La Clape, Bertrand orchestrates over 900 hectares of vineyard land across premium terroirs spanning Corbières, Minervois-La-Livinière, Terrasses du Larzac, and Limoux.
