Crafted by Gérard Bertrand, a visionary winemaker and former rugby champion who has dedicated his career to elevating the status of the Languedoc, the Réserve Spéciale Merlot is a vibrant tribute to the Mediterranean terroir. Sourced from selected vineyards across the Languedoc where the warm sun is tempered by cooling sea breezes, this wine thrives on clay and limestone soils. Historically, the Languedoc was overlooked, but pioneers like Bertrand redefined the region by focusing on quality and varietal expression. This Merlot is vinified with traditional maceration to extract rich color and supple tannins, with a portion of the blend aged in oak barrels to introduce subtle spice and structure. The result is a beautifully balanced, velvety red that captures the generous spirit and wild, sun-drenched landscapes of the South of France.
