Historically, Glen Garioch was celebrated for its hearty, malt-forward character, traditionally dried with local peat and distilled in direct-fired copper pots. Glen Garioch blev grundlagt af Thomas Simpson i 1797 i den historiske markedsby Oldmeldrum og er et af Skotlands ældste fungerende destillerier.
