The 'Renaissance' series from Glen Garioch is a celebrated multi-chapter release that chronicles the maturation journey of the distillery's robust Highland spirit. Named to mark the revival and rebirth of this historic Aberdeenshire distillery, which was founded in 1797, the Renaissance collection showcases how the malt's character evolves over time, typically starting from a 15-year-old expression up to an 18-year-old. Located in the fertile Garioch district—historically known as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire' due to its exceptionally fine barley crops—the distillery utilizes local water and traditional production methods. This single malt is crafted using non-chill filtration and is bottled at cask strength, preserving its rich, full-bodied profile of warm honey, toasted malt, baked apricots, and signature Highland heather spice.

Established in 1797 by John and Alexander Manson, Glen Garioch (pronounced 'Glen Geery') is one of Scotland's oldest continuously operating distilleries and the most easterly distillery in the Highlands. Located in the market town of Oldmeldrum within the fertile Valley of the Garioch—historically celebrated as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire'—the distillery benefits from prime regional barley and mineral-rich water drawn from the Silent Spring of Coutens Farm. Under the ownership of Suntory Global Spirits via Morrison Bowmore Distillers, Glen Garioch underwent a transformative renovation to reinstate traditional floor maltings and direct-fired copper wash stills. This classical production architecture, coupled with a 50-hour fermentation cycle, imparts a signature robust, honeyed, waxy profile with notes of orchard fruit and warm malt cereal. Celebrated for its non-chill-filtered, high-strength releases, benchmark expressions include the flagship Founder's Reserve, the 12-Year-Old, and vintage cask-strength single malt bottlings.
