The Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Single Malt is a testament to traditional craftsmanship, marrying whiskies matured in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and traditional American bourbon oak. This dual maturation imparts a remarkably rich, complex character. Each batch is individually numbered and carefully watched over in small oak marrying tuns for three months, allowing the flavors of baked apple, cinnamon, spiced oak, and dried fruits to integrate seamlessly. Founded in 1886 by William Grant and constructed by hand with the help of his family, Glenfiddich Distillery is situated in the heart of Dufftown in Scotland's renowned Speyside region. Still independently owned by William Grant & Sons, the distillery made history in 1963 by pioneering the international single malt Scotch whisky category beyond traditional blended scotch. Glenfiddich crafts its spirits using the pristine waters of the nearby Robbie Dhu springs, distilling through distinctive copper pot stills and maintaining its own on-site cooperage to oversee maturation in premium American and European oak casks. Renowned worldwide for its iconic triangular bottle, the distillery produces an acclaimed spectrum of single malts characterized by signature orchard-fruit aromas, crisp green pear, delicate floral notes, and remarkable depth in its rare vintage releases.
