Glenfiddich, translating to 'Valley of the Deer' in Scottish Gaelic, was founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown, Speyside. The 'Age of Discovery' 19-Year-Old Madeira Cask edition pays homage to the intrepid Portuguese explorers of the 15th century who charted new trade routes. This exceptional single malt is matured for nearly two decades in traditional oak casks before undergoing a finishing period in seasoned Madeira wine casks. This unique maturation process marries the classic Speyside character of crisp green apple and pear with the rich, caramelized sugar, dried fig, and warm spice notes imparted by the Madeira wood, creating a complex, historic tapestry of flavor.

Founded in 1886 by William Grant and constructed by hand with the help of his family, Glenfiddich Distillery is situated in the heart of Dufftown in Scotland's renowned Speyside region. Still independently owned by William Grant & Sons, the distillery made history in 1963 by pioneering the international single malt Scotch whisky category beyond traditional blended scotch.
