Hailing from the legendary Glenfiddich distillery in Speyside, Scotland, the 'Age of Discovery' 19-Year-Old pays homage to the intrepid Portuguese explorers of the 15th century who mapped the globe. This exceptional single malt represents a masterful fusion of Scottish distilling heritage and South American viticulture. After maturing for nearly two decades in traditional American oak, this whisky underwent a unique finishing period in oak casks previously used to age rich South American red wines. This finishing process imparts a beautiful crimson hue and infuses the classic Speyside profile of orchard fruits and honey with deep, velvety notes of ripe black cherries, toasted marshmallow, and warm baking spices.

Founded in 1886 by William Grant alongside his nine children, Glenfiddich stands as one of Scotland's most historically significant and enduringly independent, family-owned distilleries. Situated in Dufftown within the heart of Speyside, the distillery draws its pure, mineral-soft process water exclusively from the Robbie Dhu springs, which flow through nearby peatlands and quartz terrain. Distillation is conducted in unusually small, distinctively shaped copper pot stills, meticulously replicated down to the exact curvature of the original late-nineteenth-century vessels to preserve high ester formation. Glenfiddich was instrumental in pioneering the modern global market for single malt Scotch in the 1960s.
