✨ Technical Specifications
Glenfiddich, meaning 'Valley of the Deer' in Scottish Gaelic, was founded in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown, Speyside. The Single Malt Excellence 25 Year Old is a testament to decades of patient maturation, aged predominantly in rare Spanish oak Sherry casks and American bourbon barrels. This long slumber in the microclimate of Speyside allows the spirit to absorb rich, deep notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and warm spices from the wood. It represents the pinnacle of traditional Scottish distilling, drawing pure water from the Robbie Dhu spring, just as William Grant did over a century ago.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1886 by William Grant and constructed by hand with the help of his family, Glenfiddich Distillery is situated in the heart of Dufftown in Scotland's renowned Speyside region. Still independently owned by William Grant & Sons, the distillery made history in 1963 by pioneering the international single malt Scotch whisky category beyond traditional blended scotch. Glenfiddich crafts its spirits using the pristine waters of the nearby Robbie Dhu springs, distilling through distinctive copper pot stills and maintaining its own on-site cooperage to oversee maturation in premium American and European oak casks. Renowned worldwide for its iconic triangular bottle, the distillery produces an acclaimed spectrum of single malts characterized by signature orchard-fruit aromas, crisp green pear, delicate floral notes, and remarkable depth in its rare vintage releases.
