⏳ wine.drinking_window

As a highly stable, 21-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, it does not mature further in the bottle. It is ready to be enjoyed immediately upon release and will maintain its exceptional quality indefinitely if stored properly. Once opened, it is best consumed within 1 to 2 years to preserve its delicate aromatic profile.

🍽️ wine.food_pairings

Rich fruit tarts or apple tarte Tatin, aged blue cheeses such as Roquefort or Stilton, and lightly seared foie gras or rich duck liver pâté.

Glenfiddich's Experimental Series is renowned for pushing the boundaries of traditional Scotch whisky making, and the 'Winter Storm' is a remarkable marriage of Scottish heritage and Canadian extreme winemaking. Malt Master Brian Kinsman traveled to Canada, where he toured the freezing vineyards of Peller Estates in Niagara. He discovered that the intense, sweet, and highly acidic profile of Canadian Icewine casks provided the perfect foil for Glenfiddich's elegant Speyside spirit, but only when aged for a minimum of 21 years to ensure the oak structure could withstand the intense sweetness. The result is a sublime single malt that balances the classic Speyside notes of heather, honey, and oak with a vibrant, tropical sweetness, candied peel, and a crisp, wine-like finish.

Established in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown, Scotland, Glenfiddich is one of the world's most famous and pioneering single malt Scotch whisky distilleries, still proudly family-owned by William Grant & Sons. Nestled in the heart of Speyside, the distillery utilizes the pristine waters of the Robbie Dhu spring and traditional, uniquely shaped copper pot stills to craft its signature spirit. Glenfiddich is celebrated for its commitment to traditional craftsmanship, maintaining an on-site cooperage and maturing its spirit in fine oak casks. This dedication yields an iconic, fruit-forward, and complex range of single malts, from their classic expressions to highly coveted, decades-old vintage reserves.
