Nestled in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, the Glenfiddich distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant and his family, who built the distillery stone by stone. The name Glenfiddich translates from Scottish Gaelic to 'Valley of the Deer'. The Rare Collection Cask 28117 38-Year-Old represents an extraordinary chapter in this legendary distillery's history. Distilled and filled into a single hand-selected oak cask, this ultra-rare single malt slept for nearly four decades in traditional dunnage warehouses. Over thirty-eight years of maturation, the spirit interacted intimately with the wood, drawing out deep, complex layers of dried stone fruits, rich oak spices, leather, and dark honey, softened by the pristine Robbie Dhu spring water. It stands as a testament to the patient art of traditional Scotch whisky maturation.
